In April 2018, the band topped the Billboard Classical Album Chart for the first time with Foreigner With the 21st Century Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, a live recording of the band's first-ever shows backed by a 58-piece orchestra and 60-member choir in Lucerne, Switzerland. The tour comes on the heels of a remarkably busy stretch for Foreigner. Loved every minute of the event!ĭespite a career stretching back 40 years, every time feels like the first time when it comes to Foreigner. I guess they had this rule just to appease the powers that be in the blue state of Maryland.īesides that exercise in stupidity, it was an awesome show, a cozy venue with really no bad seats and the food and drinks were reasonable and the staff were friendly. Basically it was a total joke and made you wonder why the hell they even bothered going through the motion of even having the asinine rule if they weren’t going to actually make an attempt at trying to enforce it or even truly check. Sadly some people turned around and left and some said they didn’t know it was required or didn’t have them and she told them they couldn’t get in. However all we ended up having to do was just flash our card at her from a 10-15ft distance and some people just told her “they had our card” and that was ALL they did to enforce that rule.

So we had our Vax card and drivers license out thinking they were gonna actually check. However their enforcement of this requirement was a farce and a total joke which consisted of ONE (1) security guard walking down the long line of us waiting to get into the pavilion asking us if we had our Vax cards and saying we couldn’t enter the venue without it. For the record, I’m against any Vax mandate, even though I chose to freely get the shots and both my wife and myself were fully vaccinated and had our cards with us.
Before you get all over me on this please note that my opinion of this was NOT because of the requirement itself but because of the abject lack of effort in their enforcement of it. The ONLY thing I thought that was lame and stupid as Hell was the Vax card mandate requirement. Kelly Hansen and the rest of the band did an excellent job and am looking forward to seeing them again. Foreigner was awesome as usual, show was a little over an hour and a half but what do you expect without a warm up band. First time to the Meco Pavillion, and what a great little venue! We traveled from Atlanta to come to this show.
